not able to modify user-info through easypush

Description
whenever I try to modify any info of a user through Easypush, I am getting the error msg as "Error 354: User's primary mail address already exists." From the error, it seems that Easypush is trying to create a new entry for a user everytime you try to modify it and hence the error..
